Pokemon:
Zygot - Marshtomp [M] [lvl. 35] - Zygot was Sam's starter Pokemon and the two a wholly on the same wave length, its as if they can read eachothers thoughts sometimes. Pokemon and trainer in perfect sync. Zygot is a strong battler and rarely looses, his true wish is to become an elite Pokemon alongside his master Trainer and in that way Zygot and Sam are extremely similar. Occassionally, however, their views differ because they can both be extremely stubborn, meaning it falls on Pearla to offer a compramise. Pearla - Corsola [F] [lvl. 29] - Pearla is less of a battler than the others and in someways she doesn't fit in with them, however, they are all always quick to involve her and make sure she knows she's wanted - for this Pearla loves them. She wouldn't leave her team for anything even if sometimes the battling bores her, and she is always achieving her dream of travelling by going around from town to town, taking in the sights. Tye - Golduck [M] [lvl. 36] - Tye is an extremely social Golduck, a trait he kept from his first evolution when they all used to huddle together, and because of this he likes to know where his team is at all times. He has problems with being left alone for long periods of time, due to events in his past he refuses to speak of, and because of this sticks close to his trainer. Sam doesn't mind the constant company, but Zygot is often jealous over how close the two have become. Frea - Eevee [F] [lvl. 21] - Frea is the most recent Pokemon to join Samson's team and because of this dislikes being around the others for long periods of time, as she came from a team of only two. Antisocial and tempermental with a temper like a fuse, most of the others avoid her lest they anger her. Frea even goes so far as to dislike her trainer, Sam, and believes that her old trainer would never have sold her to him, she is now under the impression that he stole her unjustly. Charlie - Buizel [M] [lvl. 23] - Charlie is a strange Buizel, rejected by his kind for his unusual appearance and traded by his trainer for the same reason he has never had anywhere he fits in. Until he joined Samson's team, that is, where they are all different from the norm and gladly accept another oddball into their group. He is still expecting to be thrown out or traded away some day when he evolves into an equally strange Floatzel, and so the others go out of their way to assure him he will not. |
Personality:
Samson is a keen battler and loves winning, this means that he will deliberatlty go into the long grass to find wild pokemon and ask other trainers to battle whenever he can. He prefers to use water Pokemon over other type because they were the Pokemon he grew up around in his beach side home in Sandgem town. His one dream is to become a Pokemon master like his father and his team is happy to help achieve that goal. His starter Pokemon was his Mudkip and the two are extremely close, Zygot would do anything for his trainer and Sam would do anything for his Marshtomp. When battling the two always work perfectly and it's as if Pokemon and trainer can read eachother's thoughts - they often get other trainers asking how they work so well and Sam always answers that they just do. Howeverr, due to the pair being so similar they occassionally disagree about silly things, leaving it up to the rest of the team to sort out problems. Most of Samson's team were traded for, rather than caught, because he rarely carries Pokeballs, the first Pokemon he caught, however, was his Corsola. Pearla was caught in the water surrounding his home town, the young Corsola was happy to join them and has big dreams of travelling the world. She's not a great battler and so doesn't tend to fight, much more content to sit on the side lines, but she's always there to help her friends if they need it, especially during uncommon disagreements. Tye is the exception to this and was in fact found by Samson, abandonned in the forest by his trainer; at this point in time only Zygot and Corsola were part of the team and the two don't talk of it. Knowing that a water Pokemon could never survive away from water for that long, Sam offered to catch Tye so that he could join their growing team. Tye agreed almost instantly, having realised long ago his trainer was not coming back for him, however, even to this day he hopes they might. Charlie was one of the three Pokemon Samson traded for [the others being Frea and the Floatzel he recieved from the same trainer], and he swapped a Kingdra who was happy to go for this unwanted, strange little Buizel. Charlie's previous trainer was a Buizel breeder, who aimed to breed the greatest most beautiful Buizel and Floatzel around, and Charlie did not fit these specifications. He posesses markings not normally found on Buizel, and does not have others, and was rejected by both kind and trainer as a result; Sam, however, enjoys raising unusually marked Pokemon and was happy to take him in. Frea is probably the most unusual addition to this water team because she is a normal type Eevee who has not yet evolved. Samson traded a large collection of shards for her because he was fasinated by her completely blue coat, knowing that one day she would make a beautiful Vaporeaon - but because of this trade, Frea has come to resent him. Believing that her trainer would never have traded her for such petty things, she has come to believe Samson stole her and this has a great impact on their relationship. |

Rivals:
Lyelet {kyayura on CS} - Both Samson and Lylet are fiercly competetive battlers who have battled many times in the past to prove they are the greatest, however because Lyelet is primarily a fighting type trainer and Samson exclusively a water type trainer - they often end in a stale mate or with no decisive victor. Because of this, they have each made it a goal to beat one another, Samson believes that he can never become a Pokemon master if he does not win every battle he comes up against and Lyelet is the one obsicle which stands in his way. When not battling, the pair do not get along any better and freqeuntly argue over the smallest of things - which type is best, whose Pokemon are better etc. - and so do not make much of an effort to talk when not battling. The only thing the pair do bond over, however, is their love for complicated battle moves and Samson has been moved to compliment his challenger on more than one occassion when she pulls off an amazing, difficult move - Lyelet does the same grudingly on rarer occassions due to her disliking for water moves. |
